This policy explains what the Shoppers Payback Fund collects when you use this site, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Information you give us. Your email address and the answers you give when you open a claim file or contact support — which retailers you shop at, roughly when, and the kinds of products you have bought.
• Information collected automatically. Your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit and how long you spend on them.
• Claim activity. Your claim file number, which recalls were matched to it, the status of each claim and what was filed.

How we use it

To review your claim file, to match it against recall compensation programs, to prepare and file claims on your instructions, to answer support requests and to improve the service. Where a claim is filed, the details needed to identify you as a claimant are submitted to whoever administers that particular claim program. We share only what that filing requires.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your name or email address with anyone except where it is needed to file your own claim or where the law requires it.

Cookies and local storage

This site stores your progress through the claim process in your browser’s local storage so a page refresh does not lose it. Clearing your browser data clears it.

Your choices

You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the support address below and we will respond within 30 days. Asking us to delete your information closes any open claim file with it.

Children

This service is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Who you are buying from

The Shoppers Payback Fund is a private company. It helps shoppers find product recalls that may apply to what they have bought and file compensation claims where a claim is available. It is not a government agency, not a government program, not a regulator, not a court and not a law firm, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any retailer or brand, including Walmart, Amazon and CVS. No retailer, brand, regulator, court or government body has reviewed or approved this site or anything offered on it.
